Tips to Manage Anxiety and Stress

People with Stress, Anxiety disorders and fears spend most of their lives in a troubled or nervous state, which can take an emotional toll, and finally depression sets in. Though there is no conclusive evidence or explanation on why anxiety and depression exist, there are several ways to ease Anxiety and Stress, here are some of the tips to manage Anxiety and Stress.

Morning Routine

Morning Routine is something really important, create a nourishing one. Begin the day with spending 5-10 minutes in silence after waking up. Take few moments to start each day and establish good thoughts and intentions for yourself and perhaps for others. Schedule things and don’t put off stressful things indefinitely.

Rationalize

Anxiety makes you believe in the worst case scenario, Don’t Believe it. Learn from the experiences and let go of your unpleasant thoughts. Taking 3 slow deep breathes in and 3 breathes out as many times needed throughout the day can help you manage the Anxiety and Stress.

Talk

Talk to someone about anything that’s bothering you and don’t suffer in silence. Spend time with people (friends, family or anyone close to your heart). Talking about your problems can help you to figure out the factors that can help you to change the things around you, and correct the course of your life.

Eat Mindfully and Stay Hydrated

A healthy diet strengthens the body and gives your mind the power to think clearly. Setting up realistic and manageable expectations can be attained by a healthy body and sound mind. Avoid caffeine and Nicotine, take supplements like Vitamin B12, Omega 3 fatty acids.

Drink enough water throughout the day. Drinking Chamomile tea can also help you in relieving stress and Anxiety. Sleep for at least 6-8 hours daily and Exercise regularly.

Stay in Present, and don’t analyze the situation

Once you Analyze, you are creating an imaginary outcome. Accept that there is so much that can be done and not everything is under your control. Trust in something bigger than yourself. Find beauty in every moment, even the horrible ones.

Anxiety disorder – General Diagnosis and Treatment

1) Psychotherapy

Is often used alone or in combination with medication. It works through identifying the factors that may trigger Anxiety.

2) Medications

Medications are the safest and effective way to treat anxiety disorder and often used in conjunction with therapy which may be short or long term depending upon the severity of the symptoms.
Selective Serotonin, Reuptake Inhibitors, Tricyclic Antidepressants etc. are used in management of Anxiety

3) Alternate treatment

Yoga and Meditation techniques helps in relieving stress and also helps to focus on the positive energy of your mind and body. Acupuncture techniques are also used in the management of Anxiety.

Just Remember that You are in charge of how you feel, No one is You and that’s your superpower.
